Cherry + Chocolate + Kale = Love

Who didn’t love cherry cordials growing up?  They were so fancy and decadent individually wrapped in foil.  You wanted to savor it.  And now you can, the Your Healthiest You way!  This smoothie will taste like a treat while flooding your system with antioxidants.  Cherries have been shown to decrease inflammation and are natural sources of melatonin.  Raw cacao contains magnesium, fiber, and iron.  And do I even need to elaborate on the kale?  It cleans your liver, strengthens your immune system, has fiber, and is loaded with nutrients.  Now that’s how you really show someone you love them!

Cherry Cordial Smoothie

Serves 2

  • 2 handfuls of kale

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1.5 cups frozen cherries

  • 1.5-2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 2 generous tablespoons raw cacao powder

  • Optional – 1 teaspoon of cacao nibs sprinkled on top

Blend all ingredients until smooth and sprinkle with cacao nibs.
