The last few weeks my team and I have been focusing a lot on “the business” of Your Healthiest You. The business has grown and changed significantly over the past year and so we’ve been working on setting YHY up for more growth, alignment and ease in the future by documenting systems and processes, organizing finances and more.
As I’ve shared a bit before, I didn’t set out to be an entrepreneur or business owner. After years of bouncing around different jobs that I didn’t really love, I found my way to nutrition school (The Institute for Integrative Nutrition – more on that here!) and from there started coaching, speaking and writing about all things health and wellness.
Pretty quickly I realized that not only did I love sharing about the power of meditation, sauerkraut and leafy greens, but I also loved being my own boss.
Being your own boss definitely has its perks. You can take vacation and travel whenever. If you want to go to a 2 hour yoga class in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon, you can. And if you want to say NO to a project or opportunity, you can do that do. You’re in charge.
But it’s not all perfectly styled breakfasts and carefree afternoons. There’s a lot of responsibility and work that goes behind any business, and when it’s your business it’s your responsibility and work to manage.
It’s easy to do all the things you love in your business (and life really…) and ignore the house keeping. The less glamorous stuff. The less FUN stuff. But as is life, you gotta make time for the housekeeping – you need to organize your closets and pay your rent or mortgage on top and mop the floors every so often.
Metaphorically, that’s what my team and I have been doing with my business the past few weeks. It hasn’t been all fun but I’m thankful for my amazing team and how we’ve supported, encouraged and held each other accountable during this “clean out.”
The good news is we’re making progress and that these efforts will allow us to do more of what we love and ultimately bring YOU more of what you want to hear, see and learn from me.
So today I have a question for you (well, more than one question but I promise I’ll be quick!): What do YOU want to see more of from me?
Whether you’ve been with me for nearly a decade or just a few weeks, your feedback allows me to create more helpful posts, videos, programs and offerings in the year to come.
To make it as easy as possible I’ve created a super quick survey that won’t take your more than 5-6 minutes to complete. Promise.
I read every response and they’re 100% confidential.
My intention with growing my business is so that I’m able to support you in even deeper, more magical and beautiful ways possible.
Thank you so much in advance,
Robyn
