Finding Bliss in a Crazy, Over-worked Schedule

So you packed your schedule to the brim?

Not sure where to fit in your meal prep, let alone an exercise regime?

We’ve been there.

However, finding bliss isn’t about trying to do more or have more, it’s about letting go and allowing yourself to feel happy and healthy regardless of the craziness surrounding you.

Here are 3 tips to help you find bliss during chaos:

1. Turn “have-to’s” into “get-to’s.” Instead of saying “I have to (go to the gym, cook dinner, eat more greens, etc.) practice saying, “I get to go to the gym and work out today!” “I’m so lucky I have time to shop for fresh veggies.” Language goes a long way.

2. Practice daily gratitude. Simply write down 3-5 things you are grateful for and focus on how you feel when you think about them. We recommend getting a separate journal to do this, and practicing gratitude either first thing in the morning or last thing before going to bed.

3. Remember that sometimes “no” is the loving response. Saying “no” to activities, events, outings, and work projects is sometimes the best thing you can do for not only yourself, but the other person as well. People want the full version of you. Saying “yes” because you feel bad will only lead to you not fully showing up and engaging. Only say yes if it’s a “hell yes,” and learn to say, “no” when your gut tells you to.

With my good friend, Lindsey, at a recent Institute for Integrative Nutrition conference. I was lucky to get a copy of the Bliss Cleanse!
