I’m not shy about this… {+ Coachella pics inside!}

I got back from Coachella last week and while it was SOO fun, I am still soooo tired. Like beyond.

The truth is I like to have a really good time and I’m not shy about the fact that I enjoy a cocktail here and there, but how can we still stay on the slightly healthier side of things while getting our drink on?

Here’s how I have FUN without feeling like crap the next day:

  1. Double fist … with water, of course. It’s the oldest trick in the book but it really works. Make sure you hydrate before your night (or day) out, and then make sure you alternate alcoholic bevs with water, coconut water, or sparkling water. I also like to make myself a BIG glass of water with electrolyte powder and drink this before I go to sleep. I’ve been loving the Ultima Replenisher electrolyte powder because it’s naturally sweetened and doesn’t have some of the sketchy ingredients found in other brands. Grape and cherry are my favorite flavors.
  2. Skip the sugary mixers. Sugar can give you a hangover in itself, so pass on the soda and sticky sweeten drinks. Opt for sparkling water flavored with a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice, or enjoy your drink straight up (this also helps me drink slowerrrrr!). Want something a little fancier?   3. Support your body’s natural detox functions with specific supplements. I’m famous for my “Robyn’s party pack” which is my arsenal of supplements I bring to weekends like Coachella or a wedding where I know festivities will last for days (I was even the vitamin “supplier” for my entire house all weekend complete with written instructions!!). Supplements like NAC and B vitamins can give your body the extra support it needs.  Side question: Would you guys be interested in what exactly is in my “party pack”?
