How to Get More Energy

Do you ever feel stuck? Like you have all these goals and visions, but for some reason you just can’t seem to make progress towards them? Or maybe you do make progress, but it feels stressful and so not fun?

When we work and live from a place of stress and tension, we feel that not only in our physical bodies but also in our minds. Small to-dos wear us out and our energy is zapped.

On the other hand, if you’re able to connect with the feeling of space and calm in your body, even tough tasks feel more do-able. You’re able to experience that high and sense of accomplishment that comes from completing a project, and actually gain energy (instead of losing it).

Now who doesn’t want to feel more calm and have more energy?

Today I want to walk you through an exercise that will teach you how to put this theory into practice. This is an exercise I do with many of my 1:1 coaching clients and I’m excited to share it with you here!

First, you’ll want to grab a pencil and piece of paper. Set yourself up somewhere where you can write and then hit play below to have me talk you through the short exercise.

Once you’ve done the exercise take a moment to reflect how it felt writing your name the second time compared to the first.

Imagine if you approached all of your daily tasks from this place. If you could feel that ease while folding laundry, while writing emails, and even while having a tough conversation with a partner or friend.

Stress is draining. And while there will always be stressful or challenging situations in life, you can choose how to show up in these situations.

You can choose to lean into the stress, the fear and the not enough-ness, or you can choose to lean into your breath.

When you choose to show up from that place of ease and calm and completeness in self, not only will you be better able to handle the tough stuff, you’ll also have more clarity in your choices and more energy for the things that do bring you joy.

I’d love to hear how this practice resonated for you. Leave a comment below with one situation or person in your life that you want to find more breath with.

Big hugs,Robyn
