My favorite morning ritual drinks have been one constant since this wild time began. Even though most days I go with my cacao, before choosing I always check in with my intuition and what my body needs that day. Usually it’s one of these three drinks so I thought I would share them in one place for you today!
What does the practice of tuning in and asking mean for me? Usually I ask the question in my mind, “what would feel most supportive today?” and listen for an answer. If you aren’t used to asking open ended questions to your intuition, it can be helpful to imagine drinking one of these beverages and seeing how it feels in your body. If you feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about drinking cacao, I’d say that’s a pretty clear answer.

My Magical Morning Matcha recipe was my first morning beverage love. It’s perfect for days when I need a boost to get me through the day, but I don’t want to crash from coffee. I haven’t always loved the way matcha tastes, but I sure do love the way it makes me feel.
Cacao has quickly become one of my go-to morning drinks, especially during this time when I don’t need that city go-go-go energy. What I’ve found is that it can be both energizing and calming, depending on what I need when I drink it. Check out my Magical Morning Cacao Elixir recipe on the blog. If I know I need more that day I’ll swap water for coffee and keep the rest of the recipe the same.
On the days when the week has felt like a month and I know I just need to slooooow down, I go for RELAX tea by Pukka Herbs. This beautiful tea has a blend of soothing chamomile and marshmallow root, which is great for digestion and overwhelmed tummies (yes our bellies are processing all of those thoughts and feelings too!).
I love connecting what I need and how I’m feeling with what I’ll get from my cup that morning. It’s helped ground and energize me each and every day.
