You may be asking yourself…What are GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)? Are they useful? Are they unsafe?
Don’t worry, I tackled this thorny GMO topic in my latest episode of IIN-Depth for The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (if you missed the last one head here!), to help you figure out your own point of view on the subject.
This highly talked about issue has been debated amongst the anti-GMO activist and scientists for years, and we consumers seem to be caught in the middle. We’re bombarded with claims that these organisms are an environmental trigger with unknown health risks, all while picking up the paper to read an article that points to studies that show how safe they are.
These two contradicting point of views, complex science, politics, financial interest and environmental implications of GMO’s make it difficult to decide which side to stand for.
