The days are getting shorter…but your energy doesn’t have to follow it

You’ve felt it, right? That whoa, it’s dark already?! moment sneaking in earlier each day. The light’s softer, the afternoons slower… and your energy starts to dip right along with the sun.

(Even Raver has an afternoon dip ⬇️)

But this time, you get to do it differently.

Afternoons are your chance to take your power back. It’s not about another coffee or DC, it’s about giving your body what it’s actually asking for: a brief moment to reset.

Step 1: The Afternoon Reset

Stand up. Stretch. Wiggle. Shake out your shoulders, bounce a little, do a quick happy dance like no one’s watching (and if they are, maybe they’ll join). Then take one slow, juicy breath in… and out. Boom. You’ve just moved energy and shifted your whole vibe. Don’t believe me? Try it.

Step 2: Hydrate, Hot Mama

Our days can feel so full we forget to fuel ourselves properly. By the time afternoon hits, most of us are dehydrated. Let this be your reminder to grab your water and sip like it’s your job. (If you’re not peeing every five minutes, you’re not doing it right.)

Step 3: Snack Smart

Instead of chips → a handful of nuts
Instead of candy → fresh fruit
Instead of a sugary bar → meat sticks or a clean protein bar

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about giving yourself the kind of fuel that actually keeps you feeling alive.

You don’t have to push through. You get to power up.

So when the sun starts to dip, remember that’s your cue. Take thirty seconds for you. Breathe, sip, snack, smile. That’s your upgraded Afternoon Reset.

By the way, we are down to the final spots for my retreat at Kripalu Nov 7 and I’m buying gifts for everyone this week! If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to jump in. Click here to check it out, but I suggest calling them directly to book as room types vary!

I’d love to see you there!!
