Weight loss – what we’ve ALL been missing

I got all teary eyed from reading an email from a Chewing Challenger that I had to share.

Here it goes:

“I’ve struggled with digestion for as long as I can remember. For the last 3-4 years, my constipation got so bad that I would go 10 days without a trip to the bathroom! In a typical week, I’d go 2-3 times. I’ve been on a health journey since finding out I was intolerant to dairy in 2010 and have spent thousands of dollars on testing for everything you can imagine. After thousands more dollars spent on follow-up appointments and supplements to fix what I found, I still wasn’t pooping. Fast-forward to starting the Chewing Challenge and I noticed an improvement in 48 hours, I’ve been pooping almost everyday!

Additionally, the challenge has changed my relationship with food. So many foods that I was eating, I found I didn’t really like. I realized that more often than not, I was eating for pleasure, stimulation and distraction, rather than health and sustenance. It’s a journey and I have a long way to go, but just being aware of how quickly I’m eating is a huge improvement in my overall health…”

Pretty powerful. And her last point, let’s just call her Jess, is what this is really all about. Being able to access and hear that inner voice inside of you that already KNOWS. Knows what foods to focus on that make us feel happy in our bodies, knows how to come back to those healthy habits again and again, knows that one simple tool (chewing till liquid!) has the power to change so many tangible parts of our health. Hello! Pooping!!! Jess must feel like she could skip to work instead of drive!
