When your schedule is packed to the max, do you ever feel like you’re living out of your bag? I feel that way a lot (especially living in a city!), so today I’m sharing what I, as a health coach and busy new mom, carry around in my diaper bag (it’s a backpack! So cool!).
Here are a few things you can find in my bag (besides diapers 😉 ):
Apple – Classic. Easy. Healthy. Such a no-brainer snack that gives you a little natural sweetness and is still packed with fiber to fill you up.
Water bottle – Hydration is key and one of the most important things that helps give Robyn her healthy mom glow! Keeping a water bottle with you will put you on the right track to getting your 8 glasses a day, because seeing it in your bag is a great reminder to drink up.
Headphones – Perfect for listening to some tunes or a podcast on a walk with the babe. Picking the right playlist can keep you calm during the hustle of rush hour, or energize you if you need a little pick-me-up.
Go with Your Gut book – Yes, I actually carry this around! We reference the book tips + recipes every day here at YHY. It’s a great resource to keep with you for some kitchen inspiration when you have a break in your day.
Babyganics products – These guys have such a great mission and make baby-safe products that are green, planet-safe and still super effective. What we put in our bodies with diet is so important, but we also want to be conscious of what we’re putting on our bodies (or our babies) too!
Sauerkraut – Kraut to-go?! Sounds crazy, but knowing the benefits of raw, fermented veggies, it makes total sense to pack this probiotic-rich treat in your bag every day! An easy way to “upgrade” any on-the-go breakfast or lunch, or mash with some avocado for a perfect, nourishing snack.
Journal + pen – Sometimes things get lost in our busy minds, which is why a journal is great for organizing thoughts, to-do lists, or process emotions.
