How Coachella Inspires Me

Sometimes we can feel like we’re in a rut and that inspiration is hard to come by, but the truth is that inspiration is all around us (and sometimes in surprising places!) if we’re open to it.

One of the most inspiring places I’ve been recently was Coachella.

You all know that I am a BIG Coachella fan (just went for my 10th time)! You might not think that a music festival would be the first place I’d go looking for inspiration, especially business inspiration, but I found it everywhere I turned.

From the colorful outfits people were wearing, to the energy of the crowd, to the incredible performances on stage, Coachella was giving me so much life everywhere I looked. And for me, as someone who’s always looking for ways to help people live healthier, more fulfilling lives, it was a goldmine of ideas.

One of the things that struck me most was how passionate people were about the music. They weren’t just standing there, listening passively; they were dancing, singing along, and really getting into the moment.

That got me thinking about how important it is to find things we’re passionate about in our own lives. When we’re passionate about something, we’re more likely to give it our all, and to really immerse ourselves in the experience. Whether it’s music, art, sports, or anything else, finding something we love can be a powerful source of inspiration.

Another thing that inspired me at Coachella was the sense of community. Despite the crowds and the chaos, people were coming together to enjoy the music, and to share in the experience. This reminded me of how important it is to connect with others, and to find ways to build community in our own lives.

Whether it’s through social media, local groups, or just getting out and meeting new people, finding ways to connect with others can help us feel more fulfilled, and can inspire us to do great things.

For me Coachella isn’t just a big party, it truly is a jump start for my spirit, and I’m so grateful Scott and I have made it a priority to go (even with two littles at home) year after year.

My teachable for you today is this: let what you love inspire you.

If you’re looking for a new idea, a creative solution, or perhaps a burst of excitement around a project, don’t try to think yourself into being inspired. Instead, get into the vibration of inspiration by getting out there and exploring the world around you, whether that means attending a music festival, trying a new hobby, or just taking a walk in nature. You never know where your next great idea might come from!
